Creator Terms
Last updated November 2, 2026
These terms apply when a film or series you made premieres on AI Cinema Studios. They cover what you earn, when you're paid, and who owns what. They sit alongside our general Terms of Use; where the two differ on publishing, these terms apply.
1. Who the agreement is with
This is an agreement between you and Weli Labs, Inc., which runs AI Cinema Studios. You work with us as an independent creator, not as our employee, partner or agent.
2. How a title gets here
Submitting a film through our For creators page commits neither of us to anything. If we'd like to premiere it, we agree a short premiere plan with you in writing (email is fine) before anything goes live: the price, which episodes are free to watch, whether a lower price is offered to viewers who have already watched further, and the launch date. We don't change your price or discount your title without your agreement.
There is no monthly fee, no setup fee, and no charge to submit.
3. The split
On every sale of your title, the card processor's fee (currently Stripe, about 2.9% + 30¢ per payment) is taken first. Of what remains, you receive 90% and we keep 10%. Our 10% covers hosting, streaming, the storefront, customer support and promotion on our own channels.
The split is fixed at the moment of each sale. If we ever change it, the change applies only to sales after we've given you notice (see section 12), never to past ones.
Revenue from advertising shown on the site, including ads viewers watch to unlock episodes, is not part of the split and is kept by us.
If a payment is refunded or reversed by the viewer's bank (a chargeback), your share of that sale is deducted from your next statement, and we'll show you which sale it was.
4. Getting paid
Each month we send you a statement for the previous month, listing sales, fees and your share per title. We pay by bank transfer within 15 days of the end of each month once your balance is $50 or more; smaller balances roll over to the next month. When the agreement ends, we pay whatever you're owed regardless of the $50 minimum.
5. Tax
You're responsible for the taxes on what you earn. Before your first payout we'll ask for a tax form (a W-9 in the US, or a W-8BEN outside it), and we may be required to report your earnings to the tax authorities. We can't advise you on your tax position.
6. What you promise about your work
By premiering a title here, you confirm that:
- you made it, or you hold every right needed to publish and sell it here;
- it was made primarily with AI tools, as presented to viewers;
- it doesn't use the face, likeness or voice of a real person without their written permission;
- it doesn't take characters, worlds, titles or plots from films, series, games or books you didn't create, or use another company's logos or branding;
- you have the rights to all music, sound and voices in it;
- it contains nothing illegal, no sexual content involving minors, and nothing that incites violence or hatred.
An AI tool will generate things you have no right to publish, and having generated something doesn't make it yours to sell. You choose what to make and what to submit, so the responsibility for it is yours. If a claim is brought against us because a title breaks these promises, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
7. What you keep, and the license you give us
You keep the copyright in your work. We take no ownership of it and no rights outside this site and our own promotion of it.
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide license, for as long as your title is on the site, to store, encode, stream and display it to viewers, and to use its title, poster, description, trailer and clips of up to 30 seconds each to promote it on the site and on our social media channels, credited to you. Viewers who bought your title keep the right to watch it here (see section 8).
It's non-exclusive: you can publish the same work anywhere else, at the same time.
8. Taking a title down
You can ask us to withdraw a title at any time by emailing hello@aicinemastudios.com. We stop selling it within 7 days. Viewers who already bought it keep access, since they paid for it; you keep earning nothing further from it, and we don't either. Clips we've already posted to social media may stay up.
9. When we can remove a title
We can remove a title or pause sales if we reasonably believe it breaks section 6, if we receive a credible rights complaint, if we see fraud, or if the law requires it. Unless we have to act immediately, we'll tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to respond first. If we got it wrong, we put it back. Earnings from sales already made are still paid to you, less any refunds or chargebacks.
10. Ending the agreement
Either of us can end this agreement for a title with 30 days' notice by email, or immediately if the other seriously breaks it. Ending it doesn't affect money already earned.
11. Our responsibility
We run the site with reasonable care, but we can't guarantee any level of viewers, sales or uninterrupted availability, and we aren't liable for lost profits or opportunities. Our total liability to you is limited to the earnings we owe you and haven't yet paid. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the site grows. Anything that affects your money — the split, the payout schedule or the minimum — we'll email you about at least 30 days ahead, and it applies only to sales after that. If you don't accept a change, you can withdraw your title before it takes effect and keep everything you've earned.
13. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If something's wrong, write to us first at hello@aicinemastudios.com — a person reads every email.
